| Yaroslavl is a beautiful and large city in Russia, as well as the largest city of the Golden ring of Russia. Located on the Volga river. The city has a population of about 609,000. Yaroslav the Wise (1010) is considered the founder of the city. Apparently, the name of the city is directly related to the name of its founder. In the XVII century, Yaroslavl became the second largest city in the Russian state. In 1612, Yaroslavl was temporarily the temporary capital of Russia (when the poles captured Moscow). The city region has the 18th place in terms of tourist traffic. Therefore, tourism is actively developing in Yaroslavl. The city has many unique, beautiful sights and places: parks, museums, cultural heritage monuments. One of the most famous parks is the Pereslavl natural and historical national Park. Part of the Darwin nature reserve is located on the territory of the Yaroslavl region. Volzhskaya embankment, Tugova Gora, Strelka Millennium Park, Tolgsky monastery are some of the most beautiful places in the city. Yaroslavl is also one of the largest industrial and shopping centers. The city has developed such industries as: mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, furniture and chemical production, and, of course, food production. Yaroslavl is not only a major industrial and tourist city, but also a scientific center. The city has many research institutes. Yaroslavl state University and Yaroslavl state Polytechnic Institute make a significant contribution to the development of science. So, for many centuries, the ancient Russian city of Yaroslavl has become a major industrial and scientific center of Russia, has become the object of attention of millions of tourists, offering them hundreds of monuments of culture, history and architecture for acquaintance |
